My client a prestigious gaming organisation working on first-class AAA games is currently looking to hire a Character Artist instrumental in crafting top-tier character art assets that marry quality and technical efficiency.

Your role will be dynamic and integral to the game's development, ensuring exceptional output while optimising efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft visually striking character art assets in adherence to provided concept art, following established pipeline documentation and artistic direction.
  • Collaborate closely with our Outsource partners to ensure timely delivery of assets meeting our quality standards.
  • Provide innovative solutions to complex design briefs, leveraging both artistry and technical prowess.
  • Uphold rigorous quality control over all artwork produced.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within game development as a Character Artist.
  • Able to provide a portfolio showcasing a diverse range of technically proficient, game-ready character art assets.
  • Proficiency in contemporary asset creation pipelines and tools.
  • A keen eye for detail, color, value, composition, and more.
  • Competency in relevant art creation software such as Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Marmoset Toolbag.
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine.
  • Comfortable operating within predefined, predominantly stylized art styles.
  • Previous involvement in shipping AAA Console/PC titles as a Character Artist is highly desirable
