Test Automation Engineer in Scotland (Contract)

Location: Perth Country: UK Rate: £500 - £550 per day
 

Intelligent Resource is working in partnership with a major Client in the UK. We are currently recruiting for Test Automation Engineer to be Scotland based out.

Job Title = Test Automation Engineer

Location = Remote/Perth

Duration = 6 months Initially

IR35 Status: Inside

Role:

  • The IT Test Automation Engineer will provide quality assurance for IT changes by planning, designing, and developing automated test cases in addition to the development of the framework in non-production environments. This work is essential to protect the integrity of the live systems and minimise the risks to the business from IT change. As an IT Test Automation Engineer, you will be expected to develop, maintain, and execute automated test activities on projects, taking ownership and managing through to successful completion.
  • You will operate as a test automation subject matter expert, and work with existing staff to improve the capability and develop a long-term test automation function.

Other duties are:

  • Maintain existing and build new automated test scripts.
  • Select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying industry best practice.
  • Use risk driven techniques.
  • Ensure proper traceability, version control and configuration management of all test objects developed.
  • Test results analysis.
  • To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience of implementing and maintaining Automated Testing solutions.
  • You will also need excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills as you will engage with senior stakeholders.
